How do you use the "Multi-Quote" Feature

Post » Wed Aug 03, 2011 12:36 am

I hope this is the correct place to ask this.

I notice we have a button labled "Multi-Quote"; however it doesn't seem to do anything if I try to quote multiple posts.

Is this function inactive, or am I just attempting to use it incorrectly?

Click Multiquote on each post you want to quote, then click Add Reply. It'll quote all the posts.

You click the multiquote button on both of the posts you wish to quote, then click add reply. The quotes will be in the add reply box.

One thing to mention using 4 instances of the word "quote." :

If you're quote isn't the first quote in a string of multi-quotes, don't expect to receive a notification that someone quoted your post.

Also you can
quote quotes.

As simple as typing quotes inside of quotes. Haven't seen that used much here, would make following some conversations easier. Or it could lead to quote pyramids like in BSN.

Holy crap! All this time, I've been going "reply" in different tabs and copy-pasting all the quotes into one reply. Now I know how to use multi-quote, yay! :D

Yep. Go to My settings, under notifications, its the 3rd one. "notify me when someone quotes my posts"

I have it set to inline so whenever I sign on I have some notifications to check!
