You mean your screen freezes. Lucky me, it has never happened to me in Fallout New Vegas (though a few crashed to deskop) so I don't know, could be something that many people who have great problems with the game might experience so they can give you a better answer.

My tip would be to stay away from Boulder City until you get a solution from anyone here or till Obsidian fixes it with a new patch.

Have you tried going anywhere else to see if this happens after a while in a different location?

Try fast travelling to another location other than boulder city, going indoors try sleeping / waiting an hour and then go back to boulder city.

If it happens elsewhere it may be the graphics driver needs updating if you're on the pc.

Just to eliminate an issue with the save file, can you get to Boulder City on an earlier save? Can you get there with a new character?

Try this, reboot the PC (to clear any cell cache) and restart the game. That may clear up the issue.

I had a similar problem, when I would fast travel to trading post 188 the game would freeze up on me. I fast traveled
to a nearby location and walked to post 188, and after that the problem stopped.
