ABOUT ALL OF YOU BASHING THIS GAME AND COMPARING IT TO CONSOLE:
Look here, to anyone complaining about how badly this game looks on PC.

If you all have to hold PC games to that high of a standard to the point it doesn't meet your expectations then all need to stop playing PC games altogether, and stick strictly to consoles. Rage is exactly how I expected it to be, I do not have any graphical or performance problems anyone listed and neither do about 15 other friends of mine that all have and play this mainly because we don't jack up the settings to the point our computers cannot handle it.

My specs are an i7@ 2.8 ghz L3 8MB cache 4GB GDD3 RAM with an XFX Nvidia GTX 260. I have another friend of mine who runs the game perfectly fine on an AMD dual core 2.8 GHZ 3 GB GDD3 ram and an Nvidia 9800 GTX+ Both run the game perfectly fine.
And before anyone goes trying to say we don't know how PC games are supposed to look (which is an idiotic statement in itself) we fully understand exactly what the deal is. I personally own over 200 PC games ranging from windows 98 games all the way up to Rage and everything in between. So dont' bother pulling the comment of you just don't know games like it has any bearing on anything.

the bottom line is me and all my friends do not get all hyped up about games due to almost always people get disappointed when things do not live up to their expectations and me and my friends also take the game as it is we think like this, the game is the way the game is, it has what it has and works the way it works. You either like it or you do not. If it doesn't live up to your expectation that is one thing but to constantly see and read about gamers getting themselves all worked up only to get let down is more than annoying it's [censored].

here is a suggestion when dealing with games in general:
1. DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THE HYPE
2. ACCEPT THE GAME FOR WHAT IT IS
3. UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT IS INTENDED TO BE IN A GAME ISN'T ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN (Don't go calling the company liars because you got caught in the hype)
4. FINALLY AS I SAID IF YOU HOLD PC GAMES TO A STANDARD THAT IS UNREALISTIC (which is exactly what so many people on this forum did by complaining about the graphics instead of playing) THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD STICK TO CONSOLES AND THEN YOU WON'T SET YOURSELF UP.


ABOUT ATI USERS
Another huge issue I'm sick and tired of reading about is, ATI users lodging complaints about graphical problems in games and then trying to blame the company.

Why is it despite all the graphical problems listed in tons of games where the person posting the complain has an ATI card, that ATI users cannot get the message that ATI cards cannot handle games better than Nvidia cards can. ATI users constantly keep pissing and moaning about the graphical defects in the games they buy and continue blaming the game for their [censored] ASS GPU's and never getting the hint that if the game has all the problems they claim, then why don't Nvidia cards users ever report the same issues ATI card users do.

I seriously want to just grasp the next ATI user that posts a complaint, and force them to get rid of their ATI and get Nvidia, I'd say punch them but because they are too stupid and stubborn to realize that their problems would cease to exist in 99% of the cases if they just got a new Nvidia card that it wouldn't do any good because you cannot fix dense

Honestly how dense do ATI users really have to be to not grasp that all the complaints come from ATI users and that it's blatantly obvious the problem is the ATI card.

Seriously if you cannot put 2 and 2 together and see what I just posted, then you get exactly what you deserve and I hope all you ATI users continue having problems because it serves you all right.




BOTTOM LINE IS THIS: STOP BLAMING THE COMPANY BECAUSE YOU SET YOURSELVES UP.

Ok now that the rant is done I'm going to go enjoy playing RAGE

I set myself up, and expectations were exceeded. I'ma happy camper, just a rockin' and a rollin'.

I'm glad to see a PC user who is happy with the visuals, and all the other aspects, of the game. You are right about everything, except you are still looking down on the console as being so inferior when the truth of the matter is that even with the difference in texture memory and other shortcomings you feel the consoles have, the game looks extremely good on the consoles too. I've seen it on all platforms. The XB360 and PS3 consoles are dedicated machines with no other job than to present "the game" to the player. I originally saw and played the game briefly on an XB360 down at my local Gamestop and was blown away. I bought a copy for my XB360, not my kickass i5 PC with nVidia N460GTX, and the game looks and plays great! . . . one of the main reasons I got it for the XB360 is that I have it hooked up to a beautiful Vizio 42" LCD. I sit about 4 feet from it . . . the graphics are crystal clear and the game experience is huge! My PC is fast and wonderful, but I use a 22" widescreen LG monitor which is beautiful but it still isn't an experience as awesome as the 42" Vizio. So that was a determining factor for me. and all in all I'm glad we are all enjoying Rage. . . .
