Hunter + Alchemy ?

For Roleplaying aspects, does it makes sense to a Hunter to know Alchemy ?

He uses alot of his Bow and sometimes uses his Sword if he can't use the Bow.. But his first option always is the Bow.. He was a Hunter before getting caught and almost get executed in Helgen.

Everything in this game is possible, i know.. But for roleplaying aspects, does it makes sense ?

If your character is out there hunting,I would assume it's only natural and fitting that he or she learns about the plants and animals he or she is surrounded by.
Therefore gathering ingredients and making healing elixers and poisons to help with the more powerfull enemies would be expected.Infact any part of the Alchemy skill would be expected for someone who spends so much time in the wilds of Skyrim.

Woodsmen would have an intimate knowledge of plants and their properties. Just like I have an intimate knowledge of my pants.
