Ice armor

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 11:48 am

is it possible to find it in vendors on SS before doing quests?

i recall seeing pieces of it in the vendor but i cant recall what missions i had completed at the time, other then deathbrand armor (that is the light version) the heavy armor is only craftable, and thus reqires you to do the SS MQ until you get the ability to free the people required to do the ice armor quest, then you must complete that quest in order to create anything from ice armor.

you can see why im curious ^_^

just looking to see if i can wait long enough and grab it from a vendor without questing involved, prefer to have my character all set in terms of items and apearence before i start questing rathter then after.

thanks -Law

If you're using light armor, you could use Deathbrand, although the earliest you can get it is level 36

You can sometimes get an armor piece from the Raven Rock's blacksmith.. Sometimes.

The armor comes in both heavy and light from the blacksmith, plus what you can craft. The pieces from the blacksmith are sometimes a heavy piece, and sometimes a light piece.

It's dependent on your character level.

I have my assassin at level 56 and there's almost always 2-3 pieces of Stahlrim-something/armor-weapon in the vendor's inventories.

It's a fun quest though... well worth the effort.
