I pulled a ice storm spell from my inventory, since i still don't have the level required to have it, and used it to kill off all the alikir warriors on my game, for some reason tough, the spell started to damage me, if i hadn't healed i would have died quite easily.

Is this normal? Or is the spell not supposed to damage you? Like i said the one i used was NOT from normal magic, it was a scroll.

Just taking a guess here. The scroll probably doesn't consider the caster to be a "friendly", meaning you are still subject to take damage from its trail if you walk in it. The castable Ice Storm does not harm the player.

When you say "started to to damage me" how do you mean then? Was it like Terra Nova mentioned that you walked in its trail? If so Terra is right. Or are you actually talking about the "Blizzard" spell (wich I know is a powerfull spell but still possible to find)? =)

I cast it, and i immediatly started to take damage from it, it was ice storm spell, the strongest ice related one. I guess it was because i used it from a scroll... not sure if the one i can cast will damage me.

Wierd, must be some kind of glitch... let me know when uve found another scroll of ice storm and tested it, see what happens then ^^

Do you mean the adept level spell 'ice storm' or the master level spell 'blizzard' scroll?

Blizzard is what it says on the tin, a blizzard, therefore it will damage you.
Ice storm shouldn't damage you, but I think you're using the blizzard spell.
