Hi. I did a search on Icewind Dale, but did not find a solution to this problem.

I recently bought the Icewind Dale 3 in 1 box set. It has been running beautifully. I also installed Heart of Winter. After almost completing the first part of the game, I have tried to enter the 'Heart of Winter' part and I get the error 'Icewind Dale No Disc in Drive Place DVD in drive.' I have tried both disks but neither work. I bought the game new just a couple of months back (August 2011) from a reputable game store chain in Australia.

I did an internet search on this problem and it seems to be common. Usually I can solve game related problems quickly, but perhaps because the game's original release was so long ago, I cannot find a clear solution. I tried to download a patch from one site, but my firewall blocked it saying it was malicious code.

Given that this game is still being sold new throughout Australia, it would be nice to get some help on this issue. It is bizarre, buying a new game and getting such an error. I joined and posted here as I understand gamesas still owns and is marketing the game.

We no longer publish any of the AD&D licensed titles, including Icewind Dale.

Atari is the current publisher.
