How about a Master level Restoration spell called Resurrection that bring an NPC back to life. Useful when your favorite follower or a kindly townsperson gets killed by a Dragon.
Restoration only affects the living. Necromancy deals with anything dead. So you should take up Conjuration

Nah, it should be Restoration. You are
restoring life to the dead. With conjuration/necromancy you are manipulating the dead, not restoring life.
But that is a GREAT idea for a spell! Hell yes!
BTW, the console command for pc will do just that. And it's easy, you just hit the ~ key, select the corpse by pointing your mouse at it, then type "resurrect". They pop right back up soon as you close the console. It's easy as hell, and should be easy to make a spell. And I wish it was a spell, now that you brought it to my attention

You can even resurrect a toon that is suposed to be dead, and was dead when you entered the room. But it might/probably will break the quest somewhere. And if it conflicts with the quest in anyway, they might just stand there, looking at you and saying nothing. At least that happened several times I used it with New Vegas and Fallout 3.
