Hey guys, just wondering if I can still join the imperial legion or stormcloaks after i negotiate a peace at High Hrothgar? Is it a temporary truce or lasting peace? I want to join the imperials or stormcloaks after the main questline, but if that's not possible, then I'll do it beforehand and play through the civil war.

I think you can, though I haven't tried it. I got the quest but then completed it when I had advanced far enough in the storyline for the empire. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't lock you out.
