sounds like a step in the right direction. I just hope they did not replace the old kill moves.

Nooo not more kill moves :(
I don't like third person kill moves.
It's indeed nice that they add new features anyway though, even though kill moves is not my thing.

However, if they only could patch some of the biggest, most serious issues that so many people have.... http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1351097-so-when-will-bethesda-fix-the-low-sound-issue/, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1336456-mountain-flicker-z-fighting/.
I think those require more attention than new kill moves or any new feature at all, in my opinion.

Try a fresh reinstall even clean the skyrim stuff from your reg....I have issues after every patch and this solves it every patch. Make sure to back up your saves.

^This I feel so left out I have a beast card and deserve AO for what I paid.

^And all this up in hurr and bad Shadow Acne....having a fast sunshadowupdate is cool when the shadows don't jiggle all over the place. Maybe a Sun on a non spherical world is just never going to work at every angle but wow does that drive me nuts.

... look at all the new stuff... this is the most important thing todd can say.

Or the bugged quest, items, perks.....
Shadows?!

Is this the update that mysteriously downloaded when I started up Steam tonight? It downloaded something for Skyrim, but of course, being the useless pile of carp that it is, the Steam Updater tells you nothing useful about what it is doing. And a search for recent "News" or "Updates" on Skyrim reveals nothing new either... (Well I guess it isn't the 1.5 update since the file version of Skyrim is showing ver 1.4.27 but I really shouldn't have to look in my SteamApps directory to know whether my game has been updated.)

Tell me again, why did we need Steam? What magical benefits does it confer to offset the annoyances of using it, if it can't even tell you why it is updating your game?

On the other hand, Nexus does have info about the beta release. Hmm, well I would add that maybe a useful update for 1.5 or in the future is to add some kind of info box into the Skyrim Launcher that tells you what file version you are on.

We'll let you know when the new update is ready and available. I wouldn't expect to see anything this week. The information that got out yesterday was a very early draft. Sorry about that.

Hope that the Beta forum gets reopened for it and we can try it out first as before.

This is not an update but likely due to something else, like you accidentally deleted some files or such.

Not likely. If they were, we'd have a flood of complaints by now.

Yeah, looks like it was re-downloading the HD textures pack (which I previsously deleted) right after I opted for the Steam Beta update...

Yeah, but with the title of that thread... "Skyrim Patch 1.5 brings more that fixes" ...I can't tell if it's just the victim of a typo, or just grammatically awkward.

Heh, I'd actually forgot about those issues and that they are still in the game  having used the mod fixes for some time now.

Link doesn't work, so let hope they've fixed all the broken side faction quests they've so far ignored to improve playability. I've had no real issues with playability so far, but tons of immersion breaking quest bugs, that I need to go back and complete once the things are patched.

Aren't patches for fixing hardware(conflicts) and software(Skyrim) issues? General Discussion is for people who wear tin foil Viking Helms while playing the game.
