Independent Raiders?

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 12:30 pm

So yeah, I'm after the raider helmet gear from Fallout 3, I know it's not as common, but I've found a raider psycho-tik helmet on a previous save, but I can't remember where.

Just wondering if anyone knows of certain areas to find these random raiders who don't belong to the Fiend faction? I've tried finding the dead raider just East of Novac, but for some reason, the body isn't there, it's meant to be on the bridge just outside of Novac. Anyone know why?

Other than that, if you know what type of raiders I'm talking about, any responses will be appreciated. Thanks.

I know what you mean, but the only one I've seen is the Archlight helmet, and thats on Cook Cook.

I found one on the bridge between Nelson and Novac. He was dead though. ([censored] yeah Boone!)

I pretty sure there aren't any alive generic raiders. They all belong to a faction. That raider near Novac was just for show because of Boone and Manny being snipers.

Nope, not on my game. Knowing my luck it will never appear.

If you are on PC, you can just console command FO3 raider armor in.

The merchant inside the Crimson Caravan base sells a lot of the generic raider armor.

Don't mean to double post, but it's not worth creating another thread to ask a similar question.

So I started up another game, walked to Novac, and, in clear sight, the raider's there, yay. Didn't have what I was looking for on him/her, but that's irrelevant. My question is, if I fast traveled somewhere else, waited three days or more and returned, would the dead raider still be there? Specifically with different gear though?

Don't mean to bump the thread again, but appreciate any replies.

Hey now

Raider gear does seem pretty scarce, come to think of it. Just wandering around you should come into a bit though, especially in Fiend territory.
