Rune, of the Thieves Guild, knows barely anything about his past and I want to help him discover the lost secrets of his early childhood. For anyone who's done it, can you tell me where or who to go to to get information for Rune? Is it actually possible to help him or it's just an empty line?

i believe it's just an empty line. there's a note somewhere down there saying the man rune hired to find his parents came to the conclusion that it's as if they erase all traces of their existence....

i do keep checking back with him though just to see if any new conversation topics ever appear. so far, nothing.

I was wondering this too, as nothing showed up in my quest log I'm assuming its just an empty line, which makes the work done on his backstory sound silly.

for now you cant help him, maybe they decided to cut his quest from the finished game but left his convo, or maybe in a future dlc there will be some continuation, but the 1st thing is more probable :\
