I inherited money from WHO!?

Post » Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:56 am

A courier just came by and gave me a letter of inheritance. The begining of it says:

"In the name of Jarl Laila Law-Giver, it is with great regret that we inform you of Gular3ob's death."

I don't even know who that is, or why he/she even has a number in their name! I'm married to Sylgja, so "Gular3ob" is not my spouse...

Is this a random generated name or is there something else behind this letter? Can somebody explain/help me?

I had it when the blacksmith in Riverwood died, i think it may just be people that like you from helping them. Bloody dragons/vampires.

There is a Gularzob that lives in Largashbur in the Rift. That would be under the Jarl of Riften's jurisdiction. Did you do the related quest for the Orcs in that area? That might explain what's going on. And the "Gular3ob" could simply be, you know, a typo.

I'm playing Stormcloak in the CW, and just before we started battling to take Haafingar hold and Solitude I got the

Spoiler
Destroy The Dark Brotherhood quest from Commander Maro in Dragonbridge. I did the quest and reported back in to him, but as I walked away I decided that as a loyal Stormcloak soldier it was my duty to eliminate that PO outpost; no sense in allowing an Imperial paramilitary organization to have an ongoing presence in a Skyrim that is battling for, and about to win, independence from the Empire. (Yes I know they are completely unconnected to the CW stuff and provide no intel or support for the Legion, but I'm RPing - work with me people!)

Anyway I turned around and snuck back into the outpost and (after having made Maro unessential via the console) killed both him and his aide-de-camp.

So, he's dead and the body's still warm when I walk out the front door of the place and before I get down the steps off the porch a courier runs up and hands me a letter... informing me with great sadness that he has died and left me 300 septims.
