As the title says, is there any setting in the ini to increase the volume? I've got my speakers turned up just over half way yet the game still not very loud and the system volume is up at max too. So yeah is it possible to boost it via the ini maybe?

You could also try turning up your Windows volume.

Both in game sliders and Windows volume (system volume) is up at max already.

Everything else is loud and other games too, it's just this one that's somehow relativity low.

I also have this issue — to counter It I used the normalise option in sound/soundcard options from control panel.

Sounds are a lot clearer after that.

Note, that after setting that >1, touching the sliders will revert it back to 1.

Yes, I can imagine that could help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_compensation boosts the lower and upper frequencies.

What version of windows are you running because I don't have enhancements, after selecting sound I've got four tabs, playback, recording, sounds and communication. Under the playback tab there's AMD HDMI Output, Speakers and SPDFI Interface. If i select speakers and go into properties I got five tabs after that which are, General, Custom, Level, System Effects and Advanced..there's no enhancements what so ever. I can provide screens if necessary.

In playback choose the speakers/output you are using then in the bottom right there is a properties button. Windows 7 btw.

I believe the enhancement option comes with Realtek audio devices and is not exclusive to any version of Windows.

EDIT: The tweak works wonders by the way. I no longer have to crank my volume to max in order to play the game.

The problem with loudness equalization is that every sound in the game is the exact same volume. I guess that is okay for some people, but for anyone who enjoys audio with dimension, it's useless.

I've had this annoying volume problem since release. I've tried all suggestions and nothing has worked. All that can be done is just deal with it.

Ahh like Pahdoh mentioned you must have a different sound card. You could try some settings in there to see if you find anything?

Also as dr.krap mentioned its not perfect as you loose the depth to your sound. I don't mind so much but it's a personal preference.

I think the "best" solution is to buy 5.1 speakers, because as far as I know, this low sound bug/issue occurs in almost all cases with 2.1 speakers.
That's what I'm gonna do, as I need new speakers anyway. I used to use loudness equalization, but then I realized how much it svcks.

I still think it's kind of funny that such a big game is incompatible with the most commonly used speaker type.
