Insomnia rampant across Skyrim!

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:24 am

Ffs, nobody is sleeping in my game. All hours of the night people are up.

I have been sitting in the hags cure waiting and she NEVER goes to sleep.

I went outside, waited a couple days and still haven't seen her sleep.

I seem to remember there was a clock/time bug where Npc schedule would be off the game calendar but right now it just seems Noone in my game will go to sleep.

O.o

Perhaps the Dragon's have scared them, so they drink lots of Nordic Coffee to keep themselves awake all night!

That's some strong stuff!

They need house cats. House cats are sleepy and they make you sleepy.

I've often seen the Children in Solitude awake at all hours, night included. The son of gertrud in Riverwood also seems to stay awake at all hours but, at least, during the night, he's at home.

People always stay awake on mine to. Although contradicting myself, I often have people who never open a shop and must stay in bed all the time. Skyrim is a confusing province

I usually see the little girl in Markarth running around the city at night. Her father is usually there, too, leaning against that wall near (or under?) Vlindrel Hall all day long.

If you Fast Travel into and out of a town often it can mess up the NPC schedules, particularly when the script is telling them to go from one place to another.

To fix this, go somewhere else, like an interior cell that has an NPC who's schedule you don't care about, or your home, and wait 72 hours, then wait again until the NPC is supposed to be where you want them (in their shop during daylight for instance) then go to the shop.

Hm, have you finished Vaerminas quest in her favor? Might be a easter egg by the developers. "Vaermina will rise again!" ^^

thanks for that. I thought I remembered seeing it reported previously. I understand you're trying to help but that is a really tedious workaround.

Has Beth commented on this bug? probably no chance Beth actually fixes this huh?

The schedules don't get out of kilter that often. Fix it like I said and it probably won't happen again.

I've seen plenty of people sleep, and then I'll have to wake them up to proceed with a quest, or to shop. I like that they don't appear upset by me waking them up, rather than waiting until morning.

Elrindir is my favorite insomniac. He keeps the Drunken Huntsman open 24/7.

Unfortunately, Lydia never seems to sleep. She likes to sit in a chair, overlooking my Breezehome bed, and rarely moves. I guess she doesn't realize that she has her own bedroom?

Seems to happen about every 2-3 travel events. If I'm carriage or fast travelling.
