1. FNV came on a DVD with nearly seven gigabytes of data on it. If the game files were right on the DVD, why did I have to wait for a ridiculously long download through Steam to complete installation of the game?

2. I chose to install Fallout 3 on a solid state drive (not the C:\ drive, but rather an apps-only drive) and that choice made a huge difference in the way F3 played on my computer. Why wasn't there a similar option for FNV? Is there a workaround to get the FNV game files installed on my SSD?

3. Why Steam? It stinks!

1. You didn't have to wait for a download, tho apparently sometimes it tries to load that way, there are some threads around that detail the steps needed to make sure it installs off your dvd.

2. Because of it using Steam, it will install into your Steam directory. If you install Steam on your SSD New Vegas will also install there.

I found a post with instructions for installing FNV off the DVD. I also reinstalled Steam on the SSD, and FNV dropped right into the Steam folder with it. The whole install, including the patch through Steam, took about twenty minutes. Thanks for the help!
