Installed some "recommended" update for 64bit system

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:13 pm

So, I was installing some updates today for my Win7 64 OS...

I usually dont care to install anything else than the critical ones. But I saw it was 10 recommended, and a few of them was application compability with 64bit system, so I thought I'd install them. Guess what ... game runs like a dream now (with the custom DLL thou, havent tried without). It's probably just a fluke that it works for me, but thought I′d give a heads up to try those updates, it might save alot of headache for someone else. Now Im off to enjoy the game while it lasts :D

Still need the "custom" .dll and water multisampling on "low", but other than that I have everything on max, no vsync and stutter is ... gone!

Gonna make me a drink and celebrate now :>

As I said, it wasnt an "Important", it was a "recommended". Or well, it was 10 of them for me, so I cant tell which one of them who made the game working for me ...

I saw no recommended downloads at all, lol.
Nothing new here either http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/resultsForCategory.aspx?DisplayLang=en&nr=20&categoryid=7&sortCriteria=date

Maybe you just forgot to update at some earlier point in time? Who knows.
