Interesting Character TraitsQwirks

Post » Thu Jul 19, 2012 3:40 am

Anyone care to share some of their interesting character traits or qwirks? I mentioned this in another thread, but I have a Khajit assassin who loves collecting small fish from Skyrim's waterways. :)

My Khajit (theif) won't touch books. He can't read and finds them to be creepy.

He's also a huge wuss. He runs from every fight whenever possible. (low health, tons of stamina)

Gutslit has depression, but not as bad this time. His last version was... A bit unhealthy for me. That said, he also is quite obsessive and compulsive. He's easy to anger. He has pride of being from Elsweyr while still hating it. He often insults people just to get them off his back. Getting on his bad side means he may kill someone. He has anger management issues.

My Argonian Battlemage warrior, Fire-Burns-Blight, is a pyromaniac. He is a bit of a freeloader in that he is still serving the Imperial army after 20 years because he only cares about his paycheck. He can burns things, as well. He is a bit of a bitter jerk due to having had to see tons of atrocities, as well. You would see tons if you served in the army for 20 years, after all.

I had an Oblivion character who would collect hoes... You know, the gardening tool. He only did that out of immaturity.

My Dunmer witch haven't done much in Skyrim yet, but she carries a broomstick and kettle, she likes cats - Khajits, that is - she has a soft spot for human men (well, she sees them as toys ;)), she mistrusts Argonians, hates vampires and necromancers, but really, really likes fire. Oh, and she finds wizards and mages highly suspicious. She also thinks hagravens and dragons are very interesting, is very religious and a bit of a mystic who can spend days meditating by a lake or a shrine.

I'm really looking forward to play her as my main character. But not just yet. :)

My old character, Klawed Flaw, was from a family of assassins who believed Sheogorath was not just the Deadric prince of Madness, but also an assassin god. They believed he was most happy when someone died. They also saw him as an assassination role model, and thus, the current member of that family uses spears to aid in his assassinations and kills... A spear. This is in Morrowind. It is a great addition to a serious role play.

I love making characters who are either completely emotional messes or characters who have strange beliefs. That Sheogorath one probably makes too much sense...

Thought this was going to be about character racials, and traits like the fallout games.

On Topic. I guess my Argonian likes healing people, and has developed an habit of shooting arrows at giants, and mammoths for little to no reason.

I don't know why, I just enjoy it.

I never knew transmute existed until my third game and it now has me stopping at every iron ore deposit I find, especially in mines, and I buy them up.

Number of gold ingots: 126, and growing.

Help.

My main Imperial has a bad case of ADD.

How do you role play that? Do you walk away from people while they are asking for help?? :)

Gutslit is a giant hypocrite. He hates all magic except for Illusion and Restoration(Alchemy and Enchanting are not spells to him) and will not use Soul Trap despite the fact that buying filled Soul Gem doesn't really mean he isn't buying souls. He think mages are selfish but will use Illusion for selfish reasons. He is obsessive when it comes to archery.

Role playing ADHD seems easy enough for me. I have it in real life, though. It isn't just hyperactivity. It can also include depression(this is a pretty common thing that comes with it) and sometimes is even just having so much hyperactivity that you can't stop moving around. The most severe cases even result in violent actions if the person isn't medicated. I have known of far too many people who are violent because their parents didn't medicate them. My nephew is bullied by someone who has the violent kind of ADHD...

I don't think chains could be collected in Oblivion, so I would have to settle for Calipers... I collect pants in Skyrim due to them being so rare.

My Battlemage Derik, likes to create gold or silver Jewlery and then reverse pickpocket them, to pretty young ladies of course. He sometimes enchant's them with health regen or added health.

My Thief Sennia likes to collect bugs in a jar, so far she has 8 butterflies and 3 torchbugs. She hasn't found the others yet, she will though.

I really like the reverse pickpocketing gifts to the ladies idea. It would be fun to help out homeless people in the same way.

You have to watch that one, specially the homeless lady in Windhelm as she seem's to be very good at detecting a pickpocket. I tried giving her some stuff.

My Imperial often goes into a rage and turns into a Vampire Lord where he can flip giants While doing this he says 'You think you could beat me, fool!' Well I do that because its revenge those times when I became an astronaut by a giants hand. Anyone who is on PC or PS3 try using vampiric grip on a giant when you get Dawnguard, it is so much fun.
