Interior Decorator

I was just wondering whether there has been any improvements in decorating homes with your own stuff, or does everything just fly about still?

Are you referring to how objects placed within homes would be ransacked when the player leaves and comes back? If so, this still happens, but in order to remedy it you just need to drop any interior decorating items (Dibella statues for example) on the ground, and then leave your home, and then enter your home, and place your item where you want it. That should work. It works about 98% of the time for me. The other two percent I am not sure why it didn't work, but I think it has to do with me not dropping it on the floor. It's a very tedious problem, and at this point only my home in White run is decorated to my tastes. All other homes are pretty much vanilla.

I think the system for decorating your home needs to be improved. So you have better control over items when you place them, and that once you have placed them you will not come back into the house to find it on the floor again (I keep trying to place one of the claw keys that I have got on a dresser and every time I come in the house it is on the floor)

This does work most of the time and saved me lots of frustration. But every so often I'll return home to some chaos. One of my Dragon Claws wandered off for some reason, and my Dwemer items resorted themselves to the floor another time. Can't figure out why.

I would love to be able to decorate again like I could in Morrowind. It was so easy to put things just where you wanted them to be. Only thing you could not do was stand objects up, or lay them on their side. But, I will give that up to be to just put something somewhere that I want and have it stay there without a lot of fuss.

I promised myself I wouldn't talk about the half hour I spend trying to stand up one of my ancient nordic pots. Finally got it where I wanted it... walked into it. There weren't tears, but I had to stop playing.

It is very frustrating indeed. The Dibella statues in my home for example.. One of them always stay exactly where I wanted it (my little triumph) but the other refuses to look out into the room, it just prefers to stare longingly at the corner of the room. So I'm stuck looking at the back of the statue (which really isn't all that bad either). But I'm really trying to get some kind of symmetry out of my decorating and that is almost impossible with the way in which placing items happens.

The Dibella statues for example, I will hold them very near the dead of the statue and then maneuver it just barely up against a wall in a vane effort to rotate the item as I'm holding it. There should be a better way. If only there were decorating "gizmos".

One of my claws most likely slid off the alchemy table, climbed up the stairs and tossed itself in the fireplace. But really, I still can't figure out how it got there. Also, my bust of the Gray Fox completely vanished from my table and is nowhere to be seen. Weird things happen...

Mine teleported downstairs (Breezehome). Then vanished. It was the emerald one too. Kind of liked it.

Mine was emerald, too. *conspiracy*
Now excuse me, I'll go lock the claw in a strongbox and throw it in Lake Honrich.
