Invisible walls + Cazadores = a quick solution to...what?

Post » Thu Jun 16, 2011 2:20 am

I'm noticing a huge correlation between invisible walls and Cazadores. It seems to me like someone at Obsidian thought certain areas were too easy to get to for the player, or that they wanted us to take a specific route (the North-Western most Ranger-station), so they just put up invisible routes over all the obvious mountain-routes, and dumped a couple swarms of over-powered super-wasps all around them...so that we get trapped in between an invisible wall and a rock while the Cazadores swarm.

Seriously, did they ever say anything about why the hell they felt this amount of barriers were necessary? I wouldn't even mind having to sneak past the cazadores if I could just go over the rocks uninhibited.

Most mountain ranges and cliffs in the game, like those, are unscaleable. There's always a way to get where you need to go, if you look around. And over them mountains ain't it. I guess they made most mountains into barriers, to make you find the passes or roads that lead to the other side. Sure, they could have made every mountain climbable, but they didn't. You can always, um, go around...

Yeah, but going around svcks when there are paths over the rocks present that actually look like they're meant to be used, and are usable up until you hit the Cazadores...it's like a cruel joke.

If you're talking about the Cazadore trail that enters Red Rock Canyon, then why are you even going there? I go there for Bleed Me Dry, and that's it. Take the long way round to reach the Ranger station, past the Followers' safehouse, the 2 mines, take a left, and bingo.

That's my favorite route at the start of the game. It has many advantages. I could get past the Cads before they nerfed their perception, it's easy now.

I think OP is talking about the Tribal Village.

However I would like to inform OP if there is no barrier, player would be sandwich between Cazador and Deathclaws.

The invisable walls are to keep you from bypassing arwas filled with tough enemies which are to direct you along the correct route to follow the MQ, they also attempt to prevent you from just running to new vegas early on.

Yeah, but going straight to New Vegas is easy. I the first time I played, I went straight there, going from rock-to-rock and ledge-to-ledge to avoid the two Deathclaws that followed me most of the way there.

Maybe off-topic: I don't care for the invisible walls much, but does anyone else have that sound play when you're poisoned/ when using fixer when Cazadores come near?
It plays once or maybe three times and sometimes it's cut off as it plays. Hope it's fixed in next patch.

Now I am confused, what's your problem again?
