Iron Sighting

Do you actually iron sight in this game? If so what situations? I'm an old
vanilla cod player and a battlefield player that used iron sights all the time.
I'm finding it difficult to iron sight and it actually be useful.

Does iron sighting have the same spread as non iron sighting? At this point I dont
even bother anymore. The only gun I actually iron sight is the barret, which i find is a select
opportunity weapon. Just curious if people share the same experience/situations.

I don't know if it makes it easier, or harder. Just seems like Iron Sighting to me... lol.

Theres certain guns, mostly SMGs that I will have AIS (Adjusted Iron Sighting), which makes some guns like the Bulpdaun and Kross exceptional when someone is trying to Slide+Melee/Knockdown

Other then that I find it useful on Pistols. That's really it.. ARs still fly all over the place no matter what (The C-U Gone sight is actually helping me becoming better at the Euston AR/Gerund).

Honestly, I think its mostly personal preference and cosmetic... IDK.

kill you, just SPRAY N PRAY! XD (I have come outta situations like this, even against real people online).

Light rifles and ARs I'll iron sight as well as SMGs and pistols that are out of their hipfire ranges (if around 60% of my circular reticle is outside of their body, I consider it out of range).

All the time.

I mainly use Gerund/Galactic combination. Gerund has YeoTek on it, Galactic has the adjustable iron sights. Naturally I use it a bit less when switching into Galactic, but with Gerund and appropriate range I always ironsight.

Using the ADS function, your weapon stability is better - it makes your shots more accurate at range. Not by enough to bypass the need for burst fire, but it lets you fire slightly longer bursts, or take a shorter pause between bursts, and I'm pretty sure it increases your base accuracy a little as well for most weapons.

If I want to actually hit someone more than 10 ft away, then yeah, I'm going to ADS.

Try it out in the 'Be Objective' Challenge by getting weapons and spraying/aiming at the wall without leaving the start area.

No matter what its a good idea to burst fire with automatic ARs, the jump just increases the longer you hold down the trigger.

Also, you can only 'peek' while in ADS.

I use improved iron sights on every gun except for the single shot assault rifle, you really need nothing but irons for any gun because you engage at such close quarters in brink. If you wanna take down stats to see better that's your thing, most weapons can iron sight just fine anyway.

Which ever you choose, iron or optical, there is a huge difference in accuracy. It changes the ballistics entirely if you do not sight in, and fire from the hip. Firing from the hip is the "oh-****"! 5 guys 3 meters from me" type deal, as you rapidly retreat. As far as which is best, its purely preference. Each sight provides the same accuracy. Iron vs. Optical = same results, one provides greater viability, while the other offers zoom (in some cases).

I am still trying to go ADS almost everytime because I am used to going for headshots in my most played FPS of all-time, but it just doesn't seem as effective in Brink. So I usually have to end up hip-firing in the end, because the enemy is generally to close to even be able to aim at them. There are places that I am still able to ADS effectively, the main barricade at Container City is my favorite place to peek through the holes and put a few rounds in someones head on the other side. Overall it just ends up being a situational mix I guess, but I am definitely hip firing more than I ever have before.

On PC version you can peek even if you arn't aiming down the sights.

For me, it depends on how far the target is. If I think he's a bit too far to hit from the hip, then I'll ironsight
