So I was wondering if there is a solution, or will there be a future solution, to the issue I am having with delvin in the thieves guild. I have read quite a few people are also having the same problem.

When doing certain quests for the thieves guild, you can get certain items. I guess maybe like a trophy? I think they are called larceny items. But one example would be the bee statue. Anyway, while doing all these quests, I had missed 2 or 3 items and went back after I completed the thieves guild main quests to get them. But now Delvin wont accept them, I cant get the dialouge option to sell it to him. I suppose it is no big deal and i can just sell them or store them, but if there is a fix out there I would like to know. I am playing on the xbox 360, so idk if that helps in answering my question or not.

I had a similar issue with Delvin on my last character. He didn't want to buy one of the giant gems ("eyes of the falmer").

Well, since I could drop the gems and wasn't thus troubled by them being stuck in my inventory, and since I don't actually think that there's any special reward to complete the collection, I just didn't bother with trying to fix it.

He always leaves one short. Tried with two characters, one in order UESP suggests and the other not in order. First he didn't buy the Falmer Eye, and the other didn't buy the Dwemer lexicon.

Yeah I read that he won't buy the last one, no matter what order you do them in. My last one was the East Empire map so I placed it on Mercer's desk --not sure where it would've gone if Delvin bought it...

I couldn't turn the eye in either.
As for the map, I found mine on the floor. Mercer is a messy guy.

Okay, thanks everyone who commented. It seems silly for him to want us to bring him these items and yet they made it to where we can't finish it. And I am sorry about posting it in general discussion, I didnt realize it was a spoiler? I did my best to leave out details but I had to use one example to make sure people knew what I was talking about.
