Its nice that i made my daedra slayer before 1.5 came.

I can't imagine her without the so easily obtained daedric armour.
But i won't complain about the new way to improve smithing, it gives the game more challenge.

But i am keeping this one >:I

If you want smithing to go faster just uninstall the patch when you are going to increase smithing, then re-install it afterwards. Problem solved if you want to grind.

Nah, i like this update. And the character i mentioned maxed smithing before 1.5 came. I also play on ps3, so i don't know if i can re-install it then.

I know you can do it on the 360 so I would be surprised if the option didn't exist. Uninstalling it for grind and re-install it right afterwards is the solution I have seen people say they use.

You're right, but that wasn't the point.

I was pointing out that to say you're a 'Daedra' slayer is an odd title when all you really do is kill one or two different types of Daedra, like a rat poisoner calling himself an 'Animal Slayer'. It was basically a not so subtle dig at Skyrim having too few Daedra types compared to previous installments. Because, you know, none of us liked having more than 2-3 choices of what we summon if we want to play a Necromancer/Daedra Worshipper.

Yeah you are right then, if i would call myself a Daedra slayer i would be like a Vigilant Of Stendarr. And i don't really like those people.

Okay from now on, i will call her a Dremora Slayer. It sounds cooler anyway. :P

You should enchant a sword and name it "Dremorabane" or "Dremorasbane" depending on what you think sounds better :P

How exactly do you make this work? The only Daedra I've really encountered are involved with the quest for Mehrunes Razor. It seems to me that your character wouldn't have much work to do in Skyrim.

It was much easier in Morowind. Just find yourself a nice Daedric Ruin and start slaying.
Also in Oblivion it was easy, gates all over the place. I think Bethesda are a bit lazy when they neglect their very own creatures when they have so many types to choose from.

Yeah the hardest part about trying to roleplay as a 'Daedra Hunter' was was pronouncing the crazy names of the Daedric shrines in Morrowind.

Well, it is not really a job...but more like a title.
She also hunts on vampires and witches (including hagravens), but not on werewolves...those are part of her family.
However, she only hunts on them if they cause terror...she won't hunt down any vampires or witches who are innocent and don't mean any trouble. (there are not any innocent ones in skyrim so far i know anyway :P)

it actually makes sense that there are few daedra/dremora in skyrim.
1). no oblivion crisis, ended 200 years ago.
2.) the dunmer of morrowind have a history of daedra worship, nords of skyrim do not.
Though i do miss cutting through legions of them in oblivion, was quite fun.

These are true points, Madmoose, but the lack of variety is still appalling compared to what we were given in previous games. There are still Daedra worshippers in the world, there are still places where the Daedra can enter our world, and if nothing else it would be more interesting to play as a summoner if you had more options on what to summon.

It's not like all the sudden scamps, hungers, clanfears, ogrims, frost/storm atronachs, and all of the others somehow are blocked but dremoras and flame atronachs can come and go. If there is still Daedra summoning in the world at all it should cover the broad spectrum of different daedra types. I mean not having frost atronachs in Skyrim is a bit silly.

oh don't get me wrong i agree with you, I was just trying to make sense of it is all. If dlc brings us to morrowind there may be a few daedric ruins we can explore that be a good way to make up there absence in skyrim.

That sounds like a good idea.

I doubt we'll be going back to Morrowind, but if we do then I hope Bethesda remembers the Daedric ruins and ancestral tombs and makes a few of them for us to visit.

The main problem is that skyrim daedra are wimps compared to the big bads of oblivion and morrowind.

Well because of what martin did back in oblivion he pretty much shut off the way for the lesser daedra. only the deadric princes's can come to the mortal plane of existince of there own free will and the elemental atronachs and dremoras can only be summoned by powerfull conjurer's. daedroth's,scamps, hungers, and clanfears probably can't make it through. It's nice to now that the impact you had in oblivion still makes a difference 200 years later.

Yeah, real impressing. It was a perfect excuse to not make models.
They could've overcome it somehow to add Daedra if they really wanted to. I blame 11.11.11.
