Its over Falliou NV is FAIL. Proof of concept it was rigged

I know all about testing, I was QA for 2 years myself. The size of the project and complexity of test cases doesn't excuse a release in the state it was in. Hell i would feel so guilty signing off that the game was in a Gold state i'd have probably quit.

I can understand a lot of the quest and scripting bugs that made it through. What i don't understand is the horrible technical problems in the PC version that shouldn't have made it past the first round of testing on the most popular configurations. The only explanation I can see there is their QA lab is still using XP 32-bit and 3 generation old video cards. Also the issues with the installation of the retail box and Steam Cloud also seemed like no one even tested that at all.

I know a lot of work goes into these games and a lot of people very work hard. But people work hard in all industries and customers shouldn't be made to tolerate products released in such a state. The high level managers of these companies need to learn that, maybe piracy wouldn't be so bad if people would know that their 60 dollars is going to be spent on a PC game that works out of the box.

Thank you..

my sentiments exactly..

Please Bethesda to make better game or I will be execute!

Seriously though, you should maybe include other choices in your poll that say we'll wait for the game to be patched up before we buy.

Yep and this is exactly what I meant - I didn't want to offend anybody, but to make you guys realise that there are different factors behind the game being so laggy, and not exactly because the developer wanted it to be released in such a state...

Obvious troll is obvious... but at least a consolefag... have fun fun humping your consoles

Also... "The first games were run on oscilloscopes...." LOL...
If not troll, you -may- mean vector monitors which were only common in arcades and a very few home consoles like the vectrex, but then those were released -after- black and white raster games were already on the market, games like Pong... Yes... you are an expert in gaming history sir...

Havent voted in the poll - You seem to be missing the options to say the game runs perfectly with no slowdowns and I'll get the next game ....

God I hate O.P's like this I agree with the original poster however I disagree with his grammar, spelling and debating style. The game is virtually unplayable for people that are sensitive to framerate drops. I'm running a highend system and the performance looks good most of the time, that is untill npc's get introduced. I also believe every single poster on a windows7/dx 11 capable system (aka the highend of the spectrum) is suffering from these performance drops. However it would seem the neccesary visual acuity to detect such performance drops seems lacking in some of them. It's the exact same reason console games are playable despite the ridiculous sub 30fps performance they get into a lot of the time. Eventually you just learn to disregard/ignore or simply not notice these issues as they are prevalent throughout the game. For those of us however that play a lot of games that perform incredibly fluidly everytime I drop into fallout NV I feel like crying. And failing to test your game for the latest and greatest in terms of videocards/processors and so on seems like bad Q&A. Without this .dll fix this game would have been subject outcry from thousands of outraged gamers. In fact everyone that claims to be running smoothly is a [censored] liar if they are using the .dll fix. You are running smoothly because some tard lucked into a fix you are not running smoothly because Bethsidian did the required Q&A. End of discussion.

As an actual games tester *snip*

Yeah, I'm a game 'tester' too. I 'tested' morrowind, oblivion, fallout 3, and now fallout new vegas.
And it's been a blast.

Of course, I bought several other games too..

Why is this topic not locked yet? OP is clearly doing this for the lulz. Patch is incoming, game is still quite playable. PC users lucky we even get a port cause piracy kills PC releases so I'm sure more time is spent on console versions (even though they have bugs too)

Closed for a possible clean up.

Changed my mind. This is staying closed with all the flaming and rude remarks that have been made.
