ok so i got 3 rangers after me and they kill me on site... how do i kill thoes guys?

i need tp purchease a peaice of a rocket from that old lady at the junk yard... but i cant, how do i buy it. she tells me its 500 but thats it

also how do i get back in good graces with the NCR

Just live with the consequences of your actions or start over. I completely regret playing as a member of Caesar's Legion, but I've stuck with it, and will complete the game true to Caesar as always. But the point of ROLE PLAYING is having a realistic scenario - if you're a complete dikepiston, then people are gonna notice and start trying to stop you.

But about your problem with Old Lady Gibson, that's either a glitch, or it'll be in her regular inventory. Or you may have missed a dialogue option or something.

If you start out the game breaking away from the main quest and go right to legion the level at which you have attracted the ire to the NCR to the point they send a hit squad might not be enough to beat them easily.

Ususally you know where they're coming from if you've had to load an autosave, if possible get away to a safe location to at least stock up on consumable items, use stimpacks and chems liberally if you can, and use your best weapon and hope it's good enough.

i had a maiac play through were if u killed a bunch of the opposite factionj they be good with u again

Go to Novac. Find Boone, he will protect you from the bad men. Or go north from Novac till you come to the 188 trading post. There's a girl there called Veronica who will help you.

Rangers have high DT, so you want to equip your best damage-per-shot weapon even if it's slow.

It largely depends on your skill, what do you use for weapons?

I am stealing "dikepiston" and will use it at every available opportunity.

On topic: There should be chances to use a speech check on Gibson which would give you the key at a lower price. Do you have ED-E? That would help you see the Rangers coming, at least. You could also check the wiki and see if there are any decent unique weapons where you are, if your weapons are really bad. Also remember to use chems to up your damage resistance, AP etc.

In general, don't tick off the major factions (Caesars or NCR), until you reach the skill level where you can kill multiple armored opponents efficiently, because they wind up sending their best guys after you if you are hated enough.

My advice is to try one of the other companions. Lily should be able to handle the rangers pretty good.

Just steal an NCR disguise, then you can do some quests for NCR and build your Fame level back up.

You'll need to head to Jacobstown. Its out in the upper corner of the map, out past New Vegas. Lilly is kind of hard to miss. Look for the Nightkin with the old lady type hat and shawl.

Talk to the npcs in town about Boone's wife. Talk to the woman who runs the motel in Novac. Then after she leaves to go to bed, you might want to check out the safe in the floor behind the counter in the lobby of the motel.

To the OP, if you REALLY want spoilers to make your first run through easy, try the fallout wiki.

Having said that, I suggest NOT doing so on your first trip through the Mohave. Spoilers are exactly that, spoilers. (IMHO)
