Jack The Ripper

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 2:13 pm

hi all about a year ago i started to become interested in the Jack the ripper killings of 1888 and after months of watching documentaries and reading books on the subject as the mystery of who he could have been fascinated me i believe that he was Francis Tumbualtey due to lots of circumstantial evidence such as he collected wombs was a quack dr so knew his was around human anatomy, had two rings on his possion when he died that were pretty much identical to ones taken from one of the victims also the killings stopped after he fled back to the USA.
i wondered who you think the killer was and why?

Personally I haven't followed the history of it as i'm not a history buff however the scientific aspect of it dealing with the psychological personae of the killer is interesting. To me it could have been anyone as they could have degraded into a state of madness due to what people back then used to make stuff. Watched that episode on youtube about the "Death Clock" for Pawn Stars where Rick explained the history behind the clock.

I'm pretty sure he is supposed to be hiding in the London bridge in my city. Lake havasu city Arizona. It's the really London bridge that got moved over from London when it was sinking into the tames river.

Dunno. He's probably playing cards with Elvis and Lord Lucan right now, though. If I had to commit myself, I'd say... Hitler.

I thought a wealthy guy thought he was buying the "Tower Bridge" but got the true "London Bridge" instead.

He moved to America and started a carnival freak show.

He then went on a rampage of "surgeries" to increase the number of freaks in his show.

Yay another D- horror movie.

From what I know, I would honestly have to say the real Jack the Ripper was some random guy living in Whitechapel whose name is lost to history.

I read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portrait_of_a_Killer:_Jack_the_Ripper--Case_Closed book, with much compelling evidence that he was a man named http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Sickert.

it was proven in the mid to late 1990's that the diary was a forgery as the man who discovered it Mike Barrett admitted that he and his wife had written it ect non the less theres a good documentary on you tube all about the book its descovery the story behind it ect on you tube you might find it interesting if you enjoyed the book =]

It was some guy who done it who was emitted to a mental hosptial by his family and then mysteriously the killings stopped. The name of the guy escapes me but it was on a programme on the Discovery channel a few months back.
He was nearly caught twice, atleast someone they expected to be him

The thing is that most books are written by people who have made up their mind about it and show evidence for theit view on the case. However it's hard to say who it was al the sugestions from you guys are pretty good. But why would Tumblety stop killing when he got to America. I think Druitt might be a good guess as he comitted suicide which explains why nomore people died. Sickert seems unlikely.

If I should pick one I think I'd say Druitt, but I'm not sure, it could be anyone, even someone who nobody has even thought of. Random bum with some knowledge about anatomy etc.

Tumblety went "off the map" when he returned to the USA until his death Scotland Yard even send agents over to America to try and track him down so i think to do that back then must have shown they had a good knowledge of who he was

when he died the nuns at the hospital found two imitation gold rings on his possession identical to the ones taken from one of the victims

he collected wombs

in London an American Dr had been asking around the hospitals and medical schools for wombs at the time

he is believed to be the "Batty street lodger " who was according to the landlady a american doctor who came back to the lodgings the night of the doubble event with blood on his cloths also batty street is about 100 yards from the first murder sight

at the time a posh london hotel had a american dr staying there who was apparently in the habit of "slumming" in the East end when he vacated his room they found a bag containing "obscene publications" aka victorian advlt material as a boy Tumblety sold similar material to the canol workers in Rochester New York

to me all these ponts just click into place placing him as the murders but that is just my opinion =]

oh and his wife was secretly a prosttute he found out by following her and seeing her going tinto a brothal with other men this explains why he would vent his anger at these particular types of women

Snip

Ah, I see. Well that makes him a really good candidate doesn't it. Tumblety is a good guess then, Druitt is still a good guess.
Come to think of it maybe they were more than one guy. Wasn't the last murder a little different from the others?
Jack could be more than one person, just like Franklin W. Dixon, the author of "the hardy boys" series.
