I've tried this several times but no matter what I do, once I unlock Brian's cell, the door won't open and Brian doesn't move. Jack even acknowledges that the door is unlocked, but nothing happens. After this, I can't move or open my inventory. Thanks to this nasty little bug, I can't get any further in the game. If anyone has a save file they can give me (I'm on Private Investigator) or a way to fix this, please let me know. Thanks!

I am having a similar issue but i see the door to the cell open. brian is just spinning in circles refusing to leave. I found said patch you referred too (v1.20 only 1 i could find). When I try to use it and load the CoCMainWin32.exe it give me the message "Wrong file size [2407425] expecting [2961408], please correct .exe Any ideas?--------------------------------hmm from spending hours digging thru old posts it looks like it does not work with the D2D version. Here's hoping someone posted a save so i don't have to go thru all that again

I'm having a similar problem to this.
I show him the picture.
I open the cell.
He either doesn't move out from the doorway at all or judders around in a circle like he can't find a path.

Now I can still move around, I can actually just go ahead to the garage but as soon as Mackey starts talking the game crashes anyways.

Game = breaking'd.

I'd really like to get past this cause I'd really been enjoying the game until this mishap.

Try your "Skip dialogue/sequence" button.

i have the same problem

when i open the jail door he doesn`t move with me

but i can cross the sewers apparently with him

when i go to the garage into the sewers mackey says one word and the game crush ,

i try to skip but tue reaction its too quick to make possible these theory

please tell us how we can cross these part

I also had this problem a long time ago, when I played this game for the first time. I do not remember accurately, but I think it was related to something I did before some other thing that should have been done first. I know this barely helps, but it was something like the difference between waiting a long time to enter the prison (after the guard makes his first round) and entering right away, or something like that, since I played it a long time ago. The main point is that the only way I managed to fix it was reloading a previous savegame and doing things differently until Brian moved, which I managed immediately, at the second try. Mind that it is a good idea that the savegame is not very close to releasing Brian, or the event that blocks Brian will already be saved.

It's not game breaking if he doesn't move, so long as he says he will move, because when you get to the next checkpoint, he is automatically there with you. All you have to do is get into the warehouse, and when Mackey starts talking to you, Brian is there. The scripts in the game, if nothing else, are at least capable of fixing problems with the AI. In most situations that is.

Im having this really annoying problem with the Jailbreak chapter, and its when iv gone through the sewers with Brian, and we have met up with macky, Brian being an [censored] wants me too go and find some kinda photo or something in the safe. I go there and see the safe is behind a bookcase. I push the book case and in the middle of pushing the bookcase the game crashes.....

Im really starting too regret buying this game when there are so many problems and Im not getting any help with these problems.
