Do all jails have a secret escape route in Skyrim? I wasn't aware they existed but apparently there is one in Solitude.

I just went through one a minute ago but maybe it was just a back door the place was once more than a prison you know in White run

I know there is an achievement on Steam for breaking out of prison, so I'm guessing you can breakout of any prison in Skyrim. My Thief has never been caught, he's that good. :cool:

There is one in Whiterun prison but not it Windhelm. These are the only two I've been in and yes I got a trophy for escaping.

I have a questions: If you escape, don't you have to leave your gear behind? Or is there a way to get it and still sneak out.

It's like Oblivion, you get one pick and your stuff is in a chest. If you don't know magic or want to kill guards getting it is rather difficult.

is it bad that the 1st time i busted out of whiterun i didn't know about the secret escape so i basically walked out the front door and i only did it for the achievment

If you escape and you are seen by a guard later on in the game, does your bounty still hold? does it add escaping prison to the list of crimes? ive never escaped...

Winterhold's jail is the easiest to escape from since they don't take any of your items. Stupid Frost Atronachs. I don't think I got anything for breaking out of it though.
