If it was an accident, then they didn't copy it. And Skyrim didn't create the original design for Hide Armor, it's been around for awhile.

Not a nother "Skyrim copied "_______" or "________" copied Skyrim. They just end up as flame wars.

Hey, at least if one does happen it won't be as bad as a religious flame war. Those are pointless and go on forever.

Skyrim uses genuine real world influences in alot of it's aesthetics. It's a good thing, keeps the series grounded.

It was released recently this year, whilst skyrim was released last year.

I am guessing that a film with a lot of CGI in it was probably done filming a year or more ago.

I thought Skyrim stole it from Conan.

In short - no.

Hide armour has been around since people figured out how to make ... err ... armour ... out of .... erm ... hides. :)

Might ask if your local baker copied our much beloved game by baking ... you guessed it ... bread. After all, does not Skyrim have bread?

It's a pretty generic armour to be honest. I bet you could find another dozen similar fantasy armours if you really wanted to

The Swords and Sandals movies of the 50s and 60s used that kind of armor too. Same with many swords and sorcery B movies of the 80s. It is cheap and looks "cool".

Well the movie armor is very close to the description in the books which were written in 1912, and I don't think the movie ones have all the extra hide hanging down, but up top it looks the same, which is what I thought when I saw the trailer.

In the book it is described basically as leather straps cross-crossing the back and attaching in from to a metal disc over the sternum and heart..... The higher status the warrior the more highly ornate and stylized the whole get-up.

it's a pretty typical nordic/ancient style garb, sorry, no copying of a thing that's real, these arguments make me laugh haha

Things happened before Skyrim, and Skyrim was influenced by things that influenced the costume designers of that film

Why does everything have to be a big linear internet conspiracy to steal from that or rip off this? Jeez
