If I join the Stormcloaks and help them will I still be able to get the Jarl/Steward quests in the other cities? Especially if I help take them over?

With another character I did the Solitude quests and the Wolf queen ones were excellent - I don't want to lose out by helping the Civil War too early?

How much does it change content wise? Am I safe to do it early or should I forego getting the house and wait til mid/late game?

I did all of those Solitude quests after completing the civil war on the side of the Stormcloaks. I don't know how much it has an impact on, considering you can even still do the "What's wrong with the Jarl of Whiterun's kids?" quest even when he's sitting in the basemant of the Blue Palace.

Oh, and I thought I had scoured Whiterun .... how do you get that quest about his kids??? Never heard of that one!

Once you are level 20 check the rumors with the lady who runs the Whiterun inn.
