If Josh Sawyer said it, does that mean it's canon?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 4:45 am

From his formspring:

Question: What would Caesar have done if you told him about Graham?

Josh Sawyer answers: his eyes would have popped out of his head, steam shot from his ears and an "ow-ooogah" sound would have played.

I sure hope this scene is canon. :shocking:

They should patch Honest Hearts and add this for the Wild Wasteland trait.

I would be willing to purchase the Game of the Year edition of the game just as a form of donation for including something as awesome as that.

This is exactly the kind of thing that Wild Wasteland needs to have.

I hope that Wild Wasteland returns in Fallout 4, but really just goes above and beyond in terms of ridiculousness, to the point that a WW playthrough is to be considered non-canon. I want to see guys screaming about how they left the oven on when you hurt them enough to make them run, or to add in canonically extinct enemies like Wanamingos.

I hope wild wasteland is eliminated completely because none of the encounters are out of place in Fallout or at least the trait should be free.

I think I'd put the game down, take it out of my xbox, and never play it again, knowing that after that scene New Vegas couldn't possibly ever get any better than that.

exactly, i made a thread in Series Discussion, i think it should be an option like HC mode, not a trait, and to add in content of an extremely high caliber of non-canon hilarity, going beyond that of Fallout 2, because it is an option, they dont have to hold back on content.

If that quote became real and that sound did play when (if) you could tell Caesar I would build a shrine to J.E. in my basemant and pray to him every night.

This is what Wild Wasteland should have been and should be in the future, stuff like this that is off-the-wall and hilarious, purely serving the player, but obviously non-canon in an optional game mode.

Very much agreed Mako, WW was a huge letdown.

But it has huge potential for future games, it is a great idea, it just need to be taken *sunglasses* to the next level. *YEEEAAAAHH!*

Stuff like that there needs to put into Wild Wasteland, for future games, an optional mode for purely player-serving and comedic purposes, like adding in wanted canonically extinct enemies like Wanamingos, or making Caesar make a AWOOGA noise.

I still agree it was a great idea and it should be used to fuller extent. It wasn't implemented very well.

Indeed, there is serious untapped potential there, a lot of opportunity to safely add in content that would not rightly fit in the main game.

The funny things is, Josh HATES all the silly crap like Wild Wasteland. If I had to bet, I'm pretty sure that he's the sole reason why that stuff wasn't in the main game and he made the perk to appease the other devs that wanted it in. I don't know if I can find it, but on either his formspring or his twatter he made a very point blank statement about how much he hates stuff like that and that it has no place in a game like FO. And now he comes up with the most WW thing that could ever be put in. Oh the sweet irony.

Holy crap gunny has a face now, I did not recognise you...
Looking mighty purdy and over compensating there Gunny, JK nice to see a new avatar to match a name to.

You have to think though maybe he does not like WW because no engine can actually cope with his visions, if they're that level.
Abit like when the muppets did wizard of OZ with Tarantino and everyone just blanked the awesomeness out for sake of keeping the universe intact.
