Actually I was surprised when I saw a couple of other clips with that host. He was not nearly as annoying as he is in every bit he does on Skyrim.
I have two theories: One, this is just really not his type of game, and he's having a hard time being enthusiastic about it. Two, he and Todd just genuinely dislike each other. The latter especially would make so much sense - all the small side remarks they make can be easily interpreted as passive-aggressiveness.
I don't know. We also have to realize that Skyrim is incredibly complex and not every journalist has the time to get into that sort of game. Not knowing that there are werewolves in the game, for example, is something that could have happened to anybody. They were kind of obscure. I've played the game for 200+ hours and haven't even started that questline yet, I just know it's there from information on the internet.
In order to really make a good interview about a game as complex as this, you basically have to be a huge fan of it. And you can't demand that from the 2 main reporters of GTTV.
By the way, some people have complained that they missed it. Just in case you didn't know, you can rewind the live stream. Finding the right moment is a bit tricky, but if you rewind it now by around 45 minutes, you should be somewhere in the area.
