hey guys, I just bought this game today from my local game stop, I'm really excited, however I appear to be having an issue loading the blasted thing, I know my PC can run it, but when ever I attempt to run it the steam launcher just constantly open and closes for about a minute and then nothing, I tried verifying the files...twice, same error each time, so I'm wondering, if steam isn't downloading the patch correctly is there a way to manually download and install it? please let me know if there is, or if I'm stuck going to the steam site to complain, Thanks!

No, you cannot get the patch outside of steam.

Edit: Helps to look into GD every now and then.
According to the devs, this monday there will be a new patch out for pc, so have some patience, maybe it will work afterwards.

Yes, you can get all the patches outside of steam.
Your just not "officially" to be able to.
Just like you couldn't officially bypass Windows Live or SecuROM with FO3.

I forget which thread, but someone posted a zip of the new update about 4-5 hours ago.
