I just bought this game for my X360 - Questions

Hi people. I played and finished Fallout 3 on the PS3 a long time ago. Back then, I hadn't encountered any technical issue like freezing etc. I played with the latest patch, with auto save off and didn't overwrite save files, I created a new one each time. Then I decided to sell my PS3 for various reasons.

I bought a 360 Slim recently with a couple of brand new games, FO New Vegas is one of them :)
I haven't started playing New Vegas yet... It's hard to resist but I wonder if I should wait a little more for the next patch (which should come with the release of the next DLC). As far as I remember they said it should include some performance and stability fixes...

Besides that, what precautions do you X360 users take while playing this game? Do you turn auto save off? Create a new save file each time? Is there anything I should be aware of?

Thanks.

I'm not a 360 user. But I saw your thread so I'll chime in.

Old World Blues was actually delayed until July, before it's released, a massive patch will come out fixing alot of preformance and stability issues (as you said).

As for common tips. Turning off Auto-saves does make loading cells alot quicker, but you should remember to save frequently. As for seperate save files. I've never had more than one save file at a time, and it's never corrupted on me. Also, some places like Forlorn Hope, Freeside and McCarran can become laggy sometimes, so watch out for those.

I see, thanks for the answer. I think I might as well wait for the upcoming patch. We're almost in July. I'll play other games till then. It will be hard to resist though.
