I hear/see a video of Skyrim, then I run to my Xbox and go put it in. I am at the loading screen and I am like... "This is going to be so much fun! Why did I get off it...". Then when I actually get in to playing I get bored after 5 minutes. Is this a sign that I need to stop playing Skyrim for a few months? Also does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, take a break. I found this happening to me about a month after release (despite the fact I had done so little). I took a break and now I'm playing it again and enjoying it.

Not quite the same.

I stopped playing the game for a bit, but it was when my soundtrack arriced that I started playing it again.

I have not stopped playing the game. I am enjoying exploring it.

I've been taking close to 2 1/2 week haitus.. I kept having issues with my textures not scaling back up, kept turning to putty. Fixed it though.. still not High Res but at least I can play the game now (to a point, I take breaks for my eyes every once in a while).

But I started playing yesterday and just kept finding ALL SORTS of quests I never found before.. that's what got me back playing it.. playing it right now lolz.

You`re seeing all the best stuff of Skyrim condensed in one go. Then you put Skyrim in and expect to see the same when you actually have to get there and do things bit by bit to see it, liking travelling there for a start.

You just got excited by a simple ad and didn`t think of the reality in game.

Like your signature. But any and every game will get boring after awhile. Take a break.

I love this game ever since I received my pre-order copy on 11.11.11 I try and put every spare minute into it. I know that's sad but look at the forum, there other die hards out there too!

Take a break play another game. I wk playing New Vegas right now because I am sick of all the bugs in Skyrim.
