Just to Clarify about v1.6.

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:44 am

Normally, I have my cousin, who is pretty good with mods help me step-by-step with downloading mods and how to do it all. He's been gone, so I felt a bit adventurous and decided to go ahead and try out the 1.6 patch for Skyrim. I figured all would be well because I noticed that SKSE was updated for the patch. But, just to clarify, was it a bad idea to update? My Wyre Smash no longer works, due to the "update.esm" no longer functioning. I looked around and have not found other people with similar problems, which makes me wonder if I clearly messed something up. I apologize if I missed a topic where this was addressed, but I have looked for the last few days with no avail. Thank you to anyone with any help given.

Generally, it was not a bad idea :-). There is a reason why Bethesda releases the patches, although, they do tend to make a bit of a mess sometimes. Do you have the latest version of Wrye Bash? If so, I would recomend going to the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1384740-rel-wrye-bash/and asking there. Also, there are mods that do not work with the new version and need to be updated. If you can post your mod list, we might be able to help.

As far as I know, my Wyre Bash is updated, but I'll go over there and double check anyways. Also, how do I post my mod list?

Can't say for sure, but it should be possible to get it form the Wrye Bash.

Thanks guys. I got it all working now. I just had to re-install my steam because of problems with SKSE due to Skyrim being installed in program files.
