My level 36 Nightblade went out killing bandits and i unlocked an apprentice level chest, and found Dragonplate boots of warmth. 70% frost resistance. i haven't done any main quests on this character lol.

Same here, some daedric stuff even if I'm using light. I don't understand the complaints about lack of loot.

I know. it's just hard to find.

nice find, thats the highest grade of frost resistance possible for a randomly generated item.

Do you have lockpicking perks? Because that item isn't supposed to be available until level 47...

Edit: Speaking of which, this is a good example of why people complain. Good loot like this isn't (normally) available until very high levels, at which point you can craft better gear by yourself (and probably already have).

Not one lockpicking perk. and no this character isn't a smith. i just got it high enough to upgrade magic items. otherwise on this character i use Linwe's armor and Nightingale armor.

If the chest contains gems(garnets/rubys/diamonds) and more than 200 gold, I consider that good loot.

An actor/NPC is worth looting for me, if they have lockpicks, gems, and more than 100 gold.
