Just imagine that there was another beast race in skyrim.

What animal would you think this one would be based on?
I would have said wolf, but i changed my mind because the game already has werewolves.
Maybe a bear perhaps?

Anything that looks like insects would be cool. Maybe they would have some flying ability and a strong natural armor.

Werebears?

I actually ment as race, such as argonians are based of lizards.
This bear i mentioned might be a cool beast race.

Somehow I think bears would be a bit... "If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise...", also a playable race that sleeps half the year would be problematic.

I think a few more of the original beast races in the population of Skyrim would be more than adequate.

That's a tough question. I would say one of the only routes left would be insectile creatures, but that seems to close to an Argonian for my taste. Id say maybe some sort of human eagle hybrid. (EDIT: Not like hagravens)

well there are imga (ape people that revere the altmer) sload (emotionless slug like people that are master necromancers and hated by most other mortal races) and lilmothiit (vaguely fox like people related to the khajiit but thay died from the khnaten flu) and the ka po' tun of akavir (they look alot like the khajiit but more tiger like) tthen of course the various breeds of argonians and khajiit. take your pick.

Avian styled race would be the most interesting.

There are already many other beast-races in the lore, its just they don't live on the continent of Tamriel, but on the other continents of Nirn.

I'm surprised there's no known Pandas on Akavir, they could put them in though, because Tamriel's knowledge of Akavir is probably 80% inaccurate. But they could add three of the known Akaviri races - Tsaesci (Snake/Vampire people), Ka Po' Tun(Tiger/Dragon people), and of course, the adorable monkey people of Tang Mo.

Ponies!

But seriously, lore-wise Beth could not integrate any major (beast) race from Akavir or other continents in Skyrim. Nobody has a reason to move to Tamriel right now and since the continent has many wars going on, I'm pretty sure every "outsider" would be captured.

I read in a book in oblivion where a ship captian found an island with strange bird men so bird people aren't to far off and thers always akavir.

There are already Imga in Valenwood like said before and otherwise there would maybe be the possibility to include http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Sload in a DLC or the next game with a quest regarding the Daedra.

I vote for both, since I want TES: Valenwood and it would be cool to have the Sload featured again after Redguard (it sure has been a while).

There's plenty of beast races mentioned in the lore that have not been featured in any games. Like Lilmothiit, fox-people believed to be extinct originating from Black Marsh. Not to mention the numerous beast races from Akavirian continent.

I do hope I never see anything panda or panda-like in a TES game. What is it with pandas these days, anyway?

As to beast races, we have a furry and a scaley, so it seems we are missing feathers. Do hagravens count?

argonians have feather on their heads we need a fleshy hairless beast race like swine people or octopus people
