I just killed Thalmor Justiciar

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 2:33 pm

She gave me an attitude and stood her ground so I killed her. I hope she wasn't a friendly or I didn't break a quest.

Thalmors are usually hostile or rude. Justicars aren't special npc's. Kill as many as you wish without penalty :)

No, you didn't break a quest, they only really exist to get you to trip up and annoy them and get turned into elf-fodder.

But canonically their friend/foe status is somewhat based on your race; if you're an imperial or nord they're you're unwelcome masters who defeatted the Empire in the great war and had to grudgingly sign a peace treaty with to stop the carnage. If you're any species of elf, they represent agents of your ruling political party. If you're an argonian they're essentially neutral, if you're a khajiit they are your liberators who brought freedom and wealth to your homeland.

Whether you should be killing them on that basis is up to you ;p

I'm an imperial, so that explains her frosty attitude, But I got some Elven armor. :)

Make sure that no one sees you though. You get a 1000 gold bounty per Thalmor.

@ karmi. They are rude to you no matter what. Ryuujin is just explaining hat your race feels about them in the lore.

I kill them because I'm playing a Dunmer (always a Dunmer btw... ;)). The Dunmer and the old Dominion had a massive falling out over our Daedra/Ancestor Worship. They said we shouldn't worship the Daedra, that we should only worship the Eight. We said "F-you!!!" and left the Dominion and as a Race, went east and founded Morrowind. Now they want to say that they're our saviors and represent our best interests? No.

So, because of my characters loyalty to his sovereign nation of Morrowind, and for the rebuilding effort on Solstheim, I... "remove" any Thalmor Justicar that I happen to come across.

We are at war, after all.

whenever i make a character that uses light armor i go Justicar hunting as soon as possible for a free set of elven. Whenever i make a heavy armor or no armor character I kill any Justicar that i randomly run into. THEY MUST DIE!

Thalmor are your bloody enemies unless you are a high elf. If you are a high elf, you should consider them your enemies unless you suport the genocide of humans. In other words, assuming you are a high elf, you shouldn't be more friendly to them than you should in real life to a neonazi group.

This. I ended up having to reload that save after they(well, I suppose TECHNICALLY I) killed my Lydia, and I took to the wilderness hoping to run into them again, and have not after many more hours of play.

What was this all about? I thought for a moment that

Spoiler
Ancano sent them after me after I cleansed the corrupted Magicka pools in the College of Winterhold

because I had just finished that quest, but I didn't see anything about that when trying to look it up. I have no idea if he had anything to do with the "pollution" or not.

Killing the Thalmor is your sacred duty! If you are a human, they are your enemy, they shamed you with a treaty that has obliterated the worship of Talos and they tell you (yeah, it happened to me durind multiple dilaogs) that they want to reopen hostilities as soon as possible! If you are an Argonian or a Khajiit, they have liberated you from the empire only to enslave you! If you are an Elf, they have either conquered your province enslaving you (see what happened to bosmer) or they have put up an oppressive government in your land (the case of the altmer: many altmer dislike Thalmor)! If you are an Orc, you should kill them for the fun of it: kill for kills sake, as the famous poet said!

Not the Dunmer though. The Dunmer and Thalmor despise each other.

Dunmer and Orsimer would like to know what you're talking about, Willis.

As well as Altmer and Bosmer who simply aren't citizens of Valenwood and Summerset.

I saw "bounty" flash on the screen while we were fighting, then it said the bounty was cancelled because the witness was gone.

Redguards and Bretons only barely survived an invasion by the Dominion, so they don't like them either. And Dark Elves are not part of the Dominion, so Thalmor do not represent them.

And unless your specifically siding with the Dominion, you should kill them. Even if your siding with the Imperial Legion, kill the Thalmor.

I don't know what I did to them, but they have an order of execution for me now. So, that leaves me little choice. I have to kill every one of them I see before they kill me.
