I was 'awarded' Shadowmere, or however you would call it. I find him quite annoying as he's always charging into combat and i think that normal horses look better anyway, so i decided to just buy a normal horse. It died pretty quickly, (Not even surprised) and now i cant find Shadowmere anywhere.
I'm not hugely fussed as i can always just buy another horse, but just so i know, have i lost Shadowmere for good or is there someway to get him back?

Check the stables of any city you've been to or
check the tar pool where you first get him.

he probably feels abandoned you need to give him time to cool of a think your relationship through.

I understand, but if we're going to make this work then he needs to put the effort in aswell!

I checked the tar pit, but t was empty, i'll give him a bit more time, before i move on.

this scenario is especially awkward considering your both part of the most notorious assassination clan but you know "when in rome"
