Ive not seen this mentioned before and it was 2 minutes ago I just thought about it while I washing the pots, Anyways Im yet to see or hear anything from a Behemoth in NV? Anyone know a logical reason why there arnt any?

I also came across http://i.ytimg.com/vi/HjGpsrTatQI/0.jpg photo while browsing on google and I think its a stunning photo from fallout 3.

Different strains of FEV. West Coast Super Mutants don't keep growing over time.

How come?

Well, basically, two potential reasons:

The first being because Behemoths may not canonically exist. All modern FEV creature variants were created by The Master, using FEV from West-Tek/Mariposa.

Unfortunately that was immediately pre-war, there is no canonical way for FEV to end up in a vault in Maryland that was also pre-war.

The second option preserves the canonicity of FO3 (which may or may not be questionable). In that case it's simply because FEV is amazingly genetically unstable, unique conditions in the east-coast vault lead to it developing the ability to make a behemoth, but for some reason not a floater or a "true" centaur.

Oh right ok, I never even knew how a supermutant became a Behemoth.

This article helps a little bit but I think the main reason why is the strain of the FEV that was used as the East Coast strain is different from the West Coast strain. The East Coasts is more heavily modified then the West.

Whilst I was washing the dishes

:lmao: Yeah, i get big ideas while washing the dishes too. Also when taking a shower or walking, and pretty much any activity that doesn't require brains, including some games :D

So, what's the reason there aren't Deathclaw Matriarchs and Alpha Males in the East Coast? Deathclaws were purposely created before the apocalypse, right? The Old Olney tunnels have Deathclaw eggs, but no (or atleast not named) female Deathclaws.

Behemoths are the end stage of FEV-V87 mutation, not West-Coast FEV-1/2 mutation. It's a D.C. thing.
