I didn't preorder the game, and have none of the bonuses installed. The game installed to my HD. It's a first-gen 360. I've had no problems aside from the standard Gamebryo issues (enemies falling through the floor occasionally, etc.) Played for 9 hrs last night with no freezing at all.

Could be. If Obsidian missed a bug as big as any modification of the Weathered 10mm causing a huge red block in the middle of your screen, it's a safe bet they failed to check if the rest of the pre-order gear caused even more issues/freezes later in the game. Though some of the people claiming to have corrupted save files that state "DLC no longer present" say they never installed any pre-order bonuses.

Needless to say even if I did have a bonus to install I wouldn't even consider doing it.

If you notice F3 and Oblivion did not have these problems,Why?
My answer is the F3 and Oblivion did not have Pre-Order DLC and FNV does.

thats not the problem. I've seen plenty of other devs do it and it worked fine. Bioware for example always does it and I've never had any problems with their content.

if you have better gear, then yes

i think i can scrounge up some stuff, prob not as good but worth not getting a bad file, idk tho.

I think its the pre-order packs personally. I have one and i refused to use it for a survival feel and i have had no major issues bout 20 hours in and had a 9 hour marathon yesterday. My advice would be to go back and delete your pre-order pack (you can find all the stuff in the wasteland anyway) and start a new game.

svcks but this is just my personal opinion don't take it as cannon. And the to the Bioshock comment i have had huge problems with games like M.E.2 and Bioshock and Dragon Age and various others when i used pre-order packs...could be i was just unlucky but i think that the pre-orders have something to do with it.

A lot of people who didn't get the preorder bonus are also experiencing the issue. I don't think it's that.

Guys, i never installed the extra DLC i got from GameStop and i never encountered any game breaking glitches. I am close to finishing the game. I signed up on here because i have been reading this forum since release and i have tested all theories that some members here are stating are causes for glitches and bugs.
Save issue has nothing to do with the Space Suit of the mission with the ghouls. I completed this yesterday, picked up the suit and everything else and nothing. I continued playing with no issues whatsover....
1.Do NOT install the extra DLC
2. Install on hard drive
3. TURN OFF all 3 auto save files
4. Clear cache memory frequently every 5 or 6 hours in a marathon...

I can vouch: i am close to finishing and no game breakers for me...
I play on 60 GB XBOX 360....
