JUST TELL US IF YOU CAN FIX THE GAME!

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:54 pm

I'm really getting tired of this, I've shelved the game for about 4 months and this crappy game is still unplayable! Just tell us straight so I can get rid of this game! Updates are coming? When exactly and will it do anything? Stop f*cking your fans and just tell us straight, I'm getting tired of putting up with this....

oh.. but I'm having problems with the game itself not the dlc, are you telling me if I get the DLC the DLC will run smoothly? And does this patch cover the original game?

Update's can't fix the freezing, as much as Bergman says they do. If that were the case, what kind of magical solution have they pulled out of their ass that they couldn't do for F3?

I'm sure plenty of people will forever experience crashing problems with NV, just like how they do with F3...

Well, my game has been freezing every time I try to change weapons since reaching Lv30. I recently downloaded The new DLC and guess what?!!? It STILL locks up evry time I change weapons!!! That's 10 bucks I could've kept in my very empty pockets!!! I still have ORIGINAL quests to finish but CAN'T if it's still freezing!!! I'm giving Bethesda some slack because I LOVED Fallout 3 and WAS loving New Vegas until I could'nt play it anymore!!! Give us SOMETHING here!!!!

The coming patch isn't just for DLC, it's meant to improve the whole game. Time will tell how much. You don't need to get the DLC for it.

Fallout 3 certainly doesn't run perfectly, but if they can get New Vegas to run at the same level as F3, I'll certainly be happy.

That's nice, but the rest of us who have actually played the game for more than 30 minutes can attest to the innumerable issues that you've allegedly been fortunate enough to avoid thus far.

This game, is a Masterpiece!
And has turned into a wrecked and extremely frustrating Masterpiece.
Bottum line is that someone, or a group of folks, made a terrible decision to release this game before it was done.
Don't get me wrong here. I am blown away by the entire spread, it's concept, it is flat out incredible.
The "crashing" is out of control and even if the producers cut out one third of the content in order to make the game flow
it wouldn't take anything from the game.
It is massive, top heavy in content and it's legs can't move the game along. Can't "Fast Travel" when you have too much loot,
and this game suffers from the same fate.
What good is a gold mine on Mars if you can't get it back to earth?
They honestly should "finish the game" and then re-release it.
This game hit the longest homerun ball, for me, to date.
But as the game engine stumbles along now, it appears the ball is drifting foul.

crashing is out of control. But not everyone who has too much memory allocated from the game has the same issues.. The problem with game.. "problems" is you only hear about the "problems" lol... why would someone bother to mention "hey I have a LOTTTTTTTTTTT of saves but my game never crashes"... It would be pointless to go on a forum or to complain about something that's not wrong. So essentially you are hearing about all the bad and almost never the good. I'm not saying that this [censored] isn't a problem or shouldn't be fixed.. I'm just saying that if lets say, one million people play this game and only twenty thousand experience problems then its not as big of an issue as everyone thinks. IT SHOULD BE FIXED. But people are mostly pissed about the fact that "THEIR game has glitches in it and THEY cannot play it" Not so much everyone else that is playing the game.. If they will fix it with updates then I'm cool. And for the most part most game companies (especially bethesda) even though they are only publishing the game will push for a game of the year edition. Which is essentially a finished version of the game. Even Leonardo da Vinci said “Art is never finished, only abandoned.” which can ring true with many things.

My F3 GOTY is still unplayable... and it's my third copy, second system....if NV gets made into a GOTY it will still be as abandoned as F3.

As for the people with no problems that don't come on here to say so, I'm sure there are plenty who have problems and don't come on here. I didn't register after my problems I had with F3, it wasn't until F:NV I started getting pissed off. I wonder how many just stayed away from NV after their experiences with the previous title? I wished I had.

Instead of using the Hotkey function to change weapons, just do it manually with the Pipboy. It's what I've been doing since Fallout 3, because that game used to get twitchy while using the hotkeys. Plus you get the added bonus of pausing the game for a moment to reflect which weapon would do the best job and perhaps the best strategy to use to defeat your opponent(s).

Looks like us PS3 users get screwed again...

And JL5150, you're totally right. It's a masterpiece. But a disasterous masterpiece, lol. Still, even with all it's horrible bugs, they can't deter the massive amounts of fun I get from the game. So from my point of view, all the pros outweigh the cons.

ok... seriously.. If your just gonna [censored] and say that the game will never be fixed and you have no faith in the game or Bethesda/Obsidian. Then seriously get the [censored] off the forums.. Stop buying their games.. STOP [censored]ING. Because there's absolutely NO POINT in saying that your pissed a game isn't fixed and wont be, but continue to [censored] about it.. You have the wrong issues to be on this forum I would seek the help of a good shrink instead. These forums are intended to seek fixes, not [censored] about things that "Cant be fixed". God iv heard more optimism from a suicide case, then you.. Jeez

We came seeking fixes seven months ago.

Times up, nothing's getting fixed.

At least the New Vegas blu-ray makes a good beer coaster, albeit a very expensive one.

wow.. downers. Fixes don't come immediately.. they take awhile to find causes and patch it and make sure they will work and wont break the ps3. yeah im as irritated as the rest of you.. but instead of complaining which is wasting time (about as much time as me defending it) which this will be the last time I will be doing that. I just put the game out and am not playing it till a new patch is coming this week.

The dude has provided solutions here:

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1149337-for-people-with-freezing-issues/

Yet, at the end of the day, the game still freezes. We are all in this to find a solution but quite frankly, we aren't suppose to. Beth/Obsidian are suppose to. The freezing has been there since F3. If you are not experiencing any freezing then that's awesome. Please let us know what you are doing to prevent the game from freezing. Will the next patch fix the freezing? Who knows. Based on their track record, I have a feeling that no patch can fix the freezing.

Yes, fixes don't come immediately and they take a while to find the cause but the freezing issue has been there since F3. F3 was made in 2008? Same engine I believe. So, 3 years and there has not been a patch to fix the freezing.

I have already put this game on the shelf. I am not waiting for this next patch. I'll wait for the final DLC to be release with all the latest patches. If it freezes after that....

That is more of a correct way to do things.. Wait till the end.. If its not working now.. no point in complaining lol.. cuz nothing is going to be fixed till the new patch.

so...the correct way to buy games is waiting a year until they come out platinum at 29 euros from the shelves? Interesting idea...

Fixes don't come immediately...strange because...the money from people who pre-ordered DO actually come immediately. Not to mention that the bugs to be fixed shouldn't have been there in the first place, whaddaya think? Yes I know there is NO perfect game out there. However, this one (and F3) was and still is an ABOMINATION! The occasional glitch here and there is understandable, NOT...this!

This is unacceptable I agree [censored] that [censored].. they should not have released this game being this buggy.. There is stuff that they did not see. as with a lot of games released.. But as much [censored] that came out when the game was released is completely ridiculous. But if it will be fixed that's a good thing because its a good game. Idk about fallout 3 i have not had problems with it. I need to get on for like 10 hours or so to see what will happen. And yeah If a game new isn't good enough new i will buy it used.. its not like its online. If you play an online game like modern warfare or something 2 years late not as many people will be on it as the first day. So its more important for you get it first day or month if you find it important to get ahead.. WOW you have to pay 29 euros for a platinum game? i wonder why your letting the game sellers rip you off. lol I would never pay more then 19 for a game thats been out for a year. thats the same reason i havent bought the original modern warfare.. [censored] paying almost full price for it.

yes that is true. You are right.. But you are completely wasting time. If I hate something I don't talk about it. I ignore it. And theres a different between an issue of "freedom of speech" and liable slander.
