Karliah marriage

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 9:31 am

Topics say it all. She is amazing, and I want my character to marry her. The console hack for adding her to the marriable faction... has anyone tried this on her yet? What were the results? Does the end-of-quest location swap bug things? Any suggestions or feedback would be welcome.

Sadly, no. It makes a ton of sense, for TG plot reasons, but she's one of the few interesting, attractive women in the game... And her voice is a positive feature, as opposed to most legit 'ships, where their voice and dialogue makes you wish for a divorce option.

Aw, sorry dude.

If there's an way, is by setrelationshiprank player 4 and addfac 19809 1

Other than this, I can't figure out.

Wait, she is available? Or is there actually a boat with her name too?

I had assumed this was the only way. My question is, does it work? I assume I should wait until the entire TG questline is done? Does she actually move in to your home? Does it matter which house you own?

I am not sure if that does works. Many times players have issues marrying NPCs with Unique Voice (different voice actors).
But some players still marry with some unique npcs and, well, for me It's unpredictable when or how you can marry a NPC, even via console cheats.

You might try for yourself and see what happens. There is no risk of screwing up the game.

And the A.I. system acts equal for any NPC. All the NPC you marry move to your home and etc... the only thing is different is:
Battle NPCs will show option to follow you even married.
Neutral NPCs will COOK for you instead of following.

My challenge now is marrying with a dog.

Found a STRAY dog yesterday and it TALKED TO ME!!

just make a save and test it out.....seeing as how she's not associated with any city, the house issue may be the only tricky part.

She isn't available.
But Sapphire from the guild is. After some hard work, of course.

That was my plan. I figured I'd ask here first, in case there were any gotchas or strange criteria that needed to be met. For instance, I got the Nightgale Blade last night... only to find that the one you get at level 46+ is non-upgradable. Heads up; get the Nightgale Blade before level 46, so you can upgrade it. I'm a Mace user anyway, so it's not that big of a deal, but... yeah. Irritating.

Thanks for the confirmation. Sapphire is nice, but Karliah is in her own league... mostly for the reasons I listed above. She's actually an attractive Dark Elf, which I don't think I've ever seen in a TES game. She has a great voice, a strong independent personality, and obviously has similar morals as the PC, due to allegiances forged during the TG quest. It's sad she's not on the legit list, but given how her last relationship turned out, and the politics involved, I can't really blame the devs for being true to the plot. I wasn't actually going to do the marriage sidequest thing in game until I met her.

Alright, I'll try it out tonight. If anyone else has tried this, please post your results. :-)

Tried numerous ways with console commands and it is impossible to marry Karliah, or make her a follower. Gonna have to wait til the creation kit is out to do it. And even then, we'll have to do it with no voice since Moira Quirk didn't record marriage dialogue for Karliah.
