I have 2 of the 3 words for Elemental Fury. The last one is by Meridia's Shrine, Kilkreath Ruins. The word won't absorb though. Argenir at High Hrothgar gave me a miscellaneous quest to go there to retrieve the shout. Help please.

The wall makes the chanting sound but that's it?

Try reloading a previous save, I normally run into the wall. Very literally rubbing my face into the wall and it works.

I've reloaded 4 times. My save is by Meridia statue. Should I save and reload in a different cell?

The same thing happened to me. The Greybeards sent me to the wall, and once I got there, the word lit up weakly, the music played, and the soul-streams started washing over me...but I couldn't "collect" the word.

Try fast-traveling out of the area, then fast-travel back to a point NEAR the wall, and then approaching it again. That fixed it for me, and it seems to have worked for a lot of other people, too.

How many tries did it take?

I believe if you've "discovered" Meridia's Statue first, the wall isn't going to work properly. I always hit the wall first, THEN go talk to Meridia.... Try reloading before you get too close to Meridia....
