Kill Moves

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 4:02 pm

Hey, does anyone know exactly how these kill moves work? I do exactly what any youtube video says to perform them but I never can get them to work. It happens randomly sometimes but I would like to get it to work more often. I set "killmoverandom* to 100 percent but it still does not do it. On the other hand, I seem to be getting killed by these moves easily with even an arrow. I will go from 75% to 0 from a kill move when the arrows were barely doing damage in the first place.

Thanks

Been wondering myself. Also, thanks for posting the console command because I couldn't find it in my list.

I used to get kill moves once in a while but haven't gotten any in a long while.

Well it helps if you are using a melee weapon, you move forward while striking, or move side side or whatever. You don't need to have any random setting once you get the hang of it, you can do whenever but you also have to have enough stamina.

all i know is that they do happen a lot more if you are attacking out of suprise. (i don't mean the dagger/sword cutthroat animations if you sneak behind someone)

AFAIK, they activate on the last enemy you kill in specific battle. It certainly is the case for me. Also, unless you are equipped with dagger/one handed sword, you won't get the move if you are attacking that last enemy from the back.

1.) Be moving
2.) Small power attack (don't charge up all the way)
3.) Must do enough damage in that attack to kill them
4.) Use swords/maces/daggers

i think you're #3 might be the primary reason because all of my 2 handed weapons have had lots of cinematic deathblows from full power attacks when enemies are about dead.

It seems to be at certain times in certain battles...........

Spoiler
I beheaded Silus at Dagon's Shrine again exactly how I did it on my last character. Almost if it was scripted to do it there.
