So I killed an Alik'r and Stole their Outfit and Curved Swor

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:05 pm

I put it on my khajiit character and

voila.

Doesn't actually look too bad on a khajiit eh? Considering they're Redguardish clothes.

Yeah, I sacrificed wearing a helmet for putting the hood on my Khajiit :P

TES has such good looking armor that sometimes I feel like it should just be completely aesthetic and have no effect on gameplay.

This reminds me of when I played fallout 3, I didn't wear any power armor or stuff like that at all. Instead, the whole time, I was wearing A pre-war business suit, and pretty much the entire outfit that dude had when he wanted to
Spoiler
blow up megaton

The game ended up being a bit harder but it was worth it :)

The scimitar is one of the best weapons early on. It also looks slick.

Not too shabby indeed. In fact, I think it looks better on a khajiit than on a redguard.

Curved. Swords.

And yeah Elswyr IS a desert province, so it makes sense for the Khajit to wear this.

I prefer the colouring of Nazirs Redguard clothing, but yes very nive piece of kit, works with nearly any character, due to their niceness. Thgouh I have to say, if you're female, get the Foreswron Armour.... scherwiiiiing!

What a cute little kitty. The lizard in that outfit makes his face look a gecko but still cute.

Lol, this is my favorite! I just can't believe it! CURVED! SWORDS! Like it's the greatest thing since mammoth cheese.

Imagine if you could be like: "Yeah I killed one and took his cyrved sword. Here, you can have it." That guard would be the envy of the entire guard society.

I also did this.

I roleplay a Ra'Gadan Sword singer on one of my games, he's badass. Literally played through the entire game with nothing more than alik'r garb and hood with a single summoned blade (which is standing in for the sword singing for roleplaying purposes) http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z10/leecarey_2007/ICON0-1.jpg. He actually cuts a swathe through enemies so easily that even on expert mode the game is still hardly challenging aside from the odd dragon encounter (even giants pose little threat). I have no Idea how I get by so easily on this character at high difficulties but a heavily armoured sword/shield character struggles to stay alive. I'm certain that Alik'r Garbs and hoods have hidden stats of badassery the levels of which the mortal mind cannot conceive.

However, I feel wierd not using a shield/secondary weapon/back up spell on any character (unless using two handed weapons) but it didnt feel right using a second sword/shield with the sword singer RP build, so I tend to burn peoples faces with a trusty torch as a minor distraction to gain the edge in battle. Its so viable i'd willingly dual wield torches if i could.

I am going so off topic you wouldn't believe.

EDIT: The screenshot is a PS3 screenshot that I enlarged using a PS plugin, so the quality isn't superb but it's sufficient.

I love how Skyrim has the Alik'r, Forsworn, Thalmor, Dwemer ruins, etc. Oblivion had....the daedra.

There's plenty of chances to pick up scmitars during In My Time of Need. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/In_My_Time_of_Need

I've worn the Alikr's clothing on my Khajiit before, i actually got 2 Scimitars and just the stance with them and the look of the sword made me look just like the Gerudu Valley thieves you fight in Zelda Ocarina of Time when you go to free the fat guys they captured.

It rains in your game? All I ever get is snow. Is this post 1.4 and HD textures on PC? If so, then I'll have to wait. My computer has been downloading the HD textures for the past 3 weeks; I'm only at 42% and 9 kb/s on a tethered Android smart phone.

As for the clothes choice for your character, it looks good. Nice choice.

I've used the Alik'r outfit/scimitar set up on my Khajiit before and it was a great experience. Scimitars are my favorite weapon in the game and they're absolutely amazing after you do a little smithing.

How did you get the red Alik'r clothes on ps3? I haven't tried but did you use that pickpocket perk or what?

Nazir's Redguard Hood looks even better on Khajiit than the normal Alik'r Hoods. It's smaller for some reason, and your ears are visible through it. :3
