Killing without a bounty.

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:53 pm

My mage character at the moment, isn't particularly sneaky, but is a vampire. Made a build around the necromage restoration perk, which makes vampires so useful. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1334745-big-boost-to-vampires-necromage/ < If you didn't know about the necromage vampire thing.

As I don't use bows or daggers, my sneak kills are a little different, for the DB quest line you have to kill a few people. I usually either fury the enemy from a sneaky position, or become stage 4 then attack, both of those give me no bounty.

Also if you're a werewolf, you get no bounty for the crimes you commit.

Anyone else got any other methods for killing without bounties?

Kill any witnesses or don't have any witnesses are my two most used methods.

Not bad, but problematic if you have to kill someone in the middle of solitude. Unless you follow them to their home at night, break in then kill them silently.

I usually take some of the books found in Skyrim, break into their house, and bore them to death with some stories

I tried to kill someone in their house a while ago, but they weren't alone. So I put a basket on the other ones head, didn't get a bounty for the stab kill ha. Useful for stealing from shops too, just put a metal pot on their head.

Sneak kills or kill everyone around. Last person dies and your bounty goes away.

Just thought of another way, calm all the people around you, then kill the person in front of them all, no bounty. Works with stealing items too.

Really? I don't have Calm yet, but do you know if Voice of the Emperor (the Imperial racial power) works to?

Yeah, it's the same calm effect, so it will work.

Thanks, I definitely need to check this out because I have a bone to pick with a certain guy who "claims" that I've never seen the Wind section of Whiterun due to my lack of funds. How dare he!

Be a Thane of a hold.

Good for an out in the open kill.

Thalmor.

Very easy, just engage them in conversation, then admit you worship Talos...instant attack from them. I've made a small fortune farming their armour, and in one notable incident I had both the guards from the second watchtower and an imperial patrol smacking down the thalmor patrol that I stirred up.

My Altmer vampire will always kill Thalmor I come across, I really dislike them. This is a good way to not receive a bounty.
