Kingdoms of Amalur

So what do you guys think? From what I have seen it looks awesome! I'm not gonna get into the argument over it being a elder scrolls clone, but look what Saints Row did? Semi-copied GTA, and ended up doing some things better. A lot of things in fact. Gotta be honest R.A. Salvatore doing the lore, Todd Mcfarlane (probably butchered his name I know) doing the wicked art style, and dude formely from Bethesda directing it, sorry forgot his name lol *Puts up shield of flame resistance but its resistance is broken*.....Too soon? Anyway seems like yeah its copying several Open world RPG's but every time I see something about it, its like it just has a unique flavor about it. Call me crazy but I'm excited :) And love the all star cast of people creating it!

What ya think? Good or no good? I got it preordered baby oh yeah!

I am pretty excited for this game. Reminds me of what Fable could have been, given that it stayed in the same vein as the original.

Totally with you on that. Don;t get me wrong I like fable, yeah it could have been way better and I'm one of the few anomalies that actually liked the second and third games lol, but It should have been so much more open and more RPG than what Molyneux turned it into. I cant wait for this game. I seen a dev diary on gamespot.com and they pretty much point out they are copying all the best things from Elder Scrolls, Ultima, and several other games and mashing it all into one game. Totally huge open world with tons of classes and hybrid classes, the option to respec, to actually be what you want to be in another world only with NO restrictions or semi-guidlines you have to follow. Can't wait.

Saw the same video. It's pretty much what solidified my wanting of the game. Pretty much told me what I would be expecting from it, and I liked what I heard. 2012 is shaping up to be a good year.

Ken Rolston is the name your forgetting. His one of the more well known people in video games.

But yes I'm really looking forward tot his game, it will be nice to have a new IP for a fantasy RPG.

KoA cpecial addition is only availible in the US. Thanks EA, a few cards, dice, atbook and OST would be soooo hard to ship elsewhere.

$250 edition? Wtf? Get real.

No jumping and swimming underwater whenever I want is a dealbreaker. They made those two actions context sensitive. What a joke.
