...Wouldn't it be awesome if Bethesda made a new Lovecraftian game? Maybe in the same vein of their other main series: The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. I had a whole idea for it another forum:

"I've always been a fan of Lovecraft, and just today I stumbled across this game on youtube and it looks AMAZING! I'd just love for Bethesda to make another game set in the Lovecraftian universe. Both of their open world games have references to Lovecraft, especially Fallout, so it's clear that they still have love for the setting. I know this is likely never going to happen, but just imagine an open world Lovecraftian game! Inspired by the original Lovecraft RPGs, so it could either take place in 1920's New England, 1890's England, or in modern times. I know I'm just dreaming, but I would play that game to DEATH."

So yeah, I know Bethesda isn't gonna read this and decide to actually do it, but I still think it would be awesome. What do you guys think? Would you play this?

Bethesda didn't make the CoC in the first place, so making another game is out of the question.

Wait if they didn't make or at least own the game then why is it on their website?
Edit: Yeah it was published by them. They could make another Lovecraft themed game if they wanted

This is Bethesda Softworks's forums, not Bethesda Game Studios. The game was developed by Headfirst Productions, which is no longer in existance. They have these forum section because Bethesda Softworks owns the rights to the game

They could get another game started, but its unlikely they will.

Very true. Like I said, I wasn't expecting them to make another game, I was just having some fun. Wondering if anyone else would play that game if it was real
